We are still in the boatyard, waiting for the weather to cheer up! Keeping busy cleaning, and watching the Final Four tournament on Chris' new favorite girl: the big screen TV. I'm also learning to love the Band of Brothers series, as Chris assures me will eventually include some moments of romantic comedy. I think he's lying.

Adventures in the Keys!
Today is our 8th day on the boat (while underway, it's been three weeks since we've moved on!) and our fifth travel day! We are in Key Largo today, got here last night 15 minutes from low tide through this narrow channel, Chris got through there no problem like he'd been driving te big boat for years! Because we're making some small repairs we scored a prime spot on a seawall of a boat haul out yard, not to glamourous, but close to town.
We've had some inclement weather out here the last week which is slowing us down, especially to make the crossing across the gulf stream over to the Bahamas, which will be our first destination that none of us has been to before. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day and then our pace down to St. Croix should pick up considerably! we're eager to hear some better reggae. There is some sad excuses of white boy reggae happening here in the Keys!
Our Travels up to now...
Waiting for the crossing....
To catch everyone up to date, we left Sarasota a week ago and have stopped in Ft. Myers, Charlotte Harbor, and Marco Island in mainland Florida and then crossed the Keys at Marathon where we holed up for a few days (one at the glamourous Pancho's fuel dock!) and now up in Key Largo.
Chris is having a great time getting to know the "girls" -our two monster engines and I've been getting to know my bitch of a girl- the GPS system. And both of us are loving being outside cleaning our big girl- The Classy Lady and hanging off her like monkeys to get all the tough spots. A few pictures from our travels so far...
